The post is available because an existing team member is taking up a secondment at another NHS Trust. You will join a well-established, supportive multidisciplinary team. This currently includes:- diabetes consultant, vascular consultant, orthopaedic consultant, microbiology consultants, advanced podiatrists, microbiology pharmacists, amputee physiotherapist, diabetes specialist nursing, orthotist and interventional radiologists. You will manage a high-acuity inpatient and outpatient caseload spanning acute diabetes foot emergencies, complex wound management, chronic  limb ischaemia, and MDT-led limb salvage including those with diabetes, vascular diseases, cancers, rheumatology disorders and peripheral neuropathy disorders. Band 6 podiatrists, a secondment opportunity or bank position would be considered. ### Main duties of the job You are an HCPC-registered podiatrist with post-graduate experience in diabetes foot care or the acute high risk foot and a passion for working at the acute, complex end of the specialty. You will be confident managing inpatient and outpatient caseloads autonomously, contributing to multidisciplinary discussion, and supporting the clinical development of junior colleagues. However applications are also welcome from those with less experience working in this setting if highly motivated to learn and develop within the acute limb salvage speciality.
