Face to face interviews to be held on the 17th June.

Specialist Weight Management Dietitian 15 hours per week (flexible working considered) Band 6 (will consider recently qualified band 5 to train up to Band 6 as a training post).

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a specialist dietitian to join our team with two other dietitians and a part-time psychologist in the Tier 3 service. The post is based at Worcester Royal Hospital and includes clinics at Redditch, Kidderminster and Bromsgrove. Some clinics will be virtual.

We are a forward thinking and proactive Dietetic department of 22 dietitians working within specialty teams.

We can offer you:

- A friendly and supportive team of colleagues, excellent peer support and regular clinical supervision,
- The Department is approved for student placements A, B and C. All staff actively participate in student training.
- We are committed to your personal development, well-being, and CPD.

As a department we have regular specialty and team meetings with a focus on quality improvement and maintaining CPD.

The post holder is a key member of the weight management MDT, and we work closely with the bariatric dietitians, bariatric nurses, psychologists and surgeons.

Experience in weight management work and behaviour change approaches is desirable as are excellent interpersonal, communication skills and collaborative teamwork. Enthusiasm and commitment are essential.

- Work as part of the multidisciplinary medical and bariatric teams providing an effective specialist weight management service.

## Person Specification

### Experience

**Essential**

- Experience of working in specialist areas as part of a team.
- Experience of implementing evidence based practice for continuous service improvement.
- Experience of implementing clinical governance.

**Desirable**

- Experience of supervising students.

### Qualifications

**Essential**

- Degree or Postgraduate Diploma in Nutrition & Dietetics
- Wide range of CPD activities related to specialist area
- Health & Care Professions Council (HCPC) registration - dietitian

**Desirable**

- Attendance at training course or conference related to obesity
- Post graduate training in behaviour change /motivational interviewing/ CBT
- Member of the British Dietetic Association
- Member of appropriate specialist group e.g. BDA obesity group
