For 1 session per week you will work in the long covid hub. This will provide opportunity to work in a clinic setting providing assessment and management to patients who may present with voice, swallowing or communication disorders. The voice team will be available to support the development of required competencies for this aspect of the role if required.  The post available is 18.75 hours per week on a permanent contract. The successful candidate will be based in the Sheffield Teaching Hospitals SLT service working as members of the team providing SLT to the acute wards across three hospitals, the Northern General, the Royal Hallamshire and Weston Park . They will provide clinical Speech & Language Therapy to a defined specialised caseload as part of the SLT team. There may be an opportunity for temporary additional hours for the successful candidate ### Main duties of the job To provide clinical speech and language therapy services to a defined specialised caseload of adult patients as part of the acute ward SLT team. To specialise in the assessment and management of communication disorders and dysphagia in an acute setting. To work efficiently as part of the team to ensure that patients receive timely and effective intervention for eating, drinking, swallowing and communication disorders.
