We are pleased to offer one full-time and one part-time (0.6 WTE) Band 6 Speech and Language Therapist opportunity within our well-established Mainstream Schools Team. This role provides the opportunity to work across a range of Brent primary and secondary schools, supporting children and young people at SEN Support and those with Education, Health and Care Plans (EHCPs). The support from colleagues and senior clinicians has helped me grow so much.” If you are looking for a role where you can develop your clinical skills, be part of a positive and encouraging team, and make a meaningful impact within mainstream school settings, we would love to hear from you. ### Main duties of the job Key duties in this role include: - Assess and support children and young people with a range of speech, language and communication needs, including DLD, ASD, speech sound disorders, and selective mutism. - Provide both individual and group therapy sessions within your allocated schools. - Offer advice, strategies and training to school staff and parents to support communication needs across the school environment. - Liaise effectively with parents, SENCOs, teachers and other professionals involved in a child’s care. - Deliver training packages, workshops and contribute to wider project work across the service. - Manage your own caseload independently with access to regular supervision, peer support and clinical guidance.
