We would consider part or full time. We would also consider a development post, where full training would be given to meet the requirements of this role. This role will provide specialist skills on to the stroke unit, supporting both communication and swallowing. There will be opportunities to participate in the regular video-fluoroscopy clinics and FEES service. The Speech and Language therapy team at North West Anglia NHS Foundation Trust are a friendly and supportive team. We have regular cross-site team meetings with a strong focus on CPD, on a range of dysphagia and communication topics. For informal enquiries please contact: Hazel Ferreira- Speech and Language Therapy Service Lead on 01480 423130 Interviews for this role will be conducted in person to assess relevant skills effectively. ### Main duties of the job This specialist SLT role works within the stroke MDT providing enhanced skills in the field of post stroke speech, communication and swallowing problems. They provide specialist and bespoke clinical assessment, management and rehabilitation plans. They support mental capacity assessments and advise the MDT on risks and prognosis to enable effective patient flow, risk identification and management whilst an acute inpatient.
