We are a highly experienced team of community based clinicians, who love our work, love our team and the families we work with. The service works Monday to Friday, visiting young people and families in a variety of settings offering multi disciplinary assessment and interventions as part of agreed care pathways and interventions. The post is 22.5 hours within the working week. You'll have the opportunity to get involved in our various research and audit projects, participate in team learning events, training as required and service developments. We'll offer you robust clinical supervision including the opportunity to work with other professionals and share learning, appraisal and CPD opportunities. In return, you'll need to bring experience from a similar role as a speech and language therapist, lots of commitment, and enthusiasm, and of course, a sense of humour. ### Main duties of the job As speech and language therapist you will be responsible for completing holistic assessments, contributing to multi-disciplinary formulation and evidence based interventions for children with moderate to severe learning disability. You will be required to work autonomously and respond to the needs of an individual caseload; from initial assessment to discharge. You are expected to be flexible and responsive to the needs of the service; providing specialist skills and knowledge within the four quadrants of the IThrive model. You will be liaising and providing advice, information and consultation to colleagues and other agencies as well as undertaking service governance activity, including research and audit as appropriate. The role will include actively participating in role modelling interventions and implementing Positive Behaviour Support planning approaches.
