Are you an experienced physiotherapist looking to work with children and young people making a meaningful impact in a flexible, supportive role? Salisbury NHS Foundation Trust is looking for a  Specialist Senior  Children's Physiotherapist to join our vibrant and dedicated team. In this pivotal role, you'll deliver physiotherapy services to children and young people across both outpatient clinics and inpatient care settings.

As a valued member of our multidisciplinary team, you’ll help shape and deliver services that support children with a wide range of health conditions—empowering them to take an active role in their own health and wellbeing.  You will be working alongside clinical specialist physiotherapists and advanced clinical practitioners.

This is a fixed- term Role. An internal secondment would be supported. A part-time role could be considered for the right candidate.

If you are applying for a role with a secondment opportunity, you must speak with your current line manager about your application prior to making it. You must discuss the department’s ability to support you on this secondment and that the current service of your department isn’t effected.

No weekend working is required as part of this role.

### Main duties of the job

- Provide high-quality physiotherapy to children and young people within both outpatient and inpatient settings.  The key specialism for this role is musculoskeletal and orthopaedic.

- Manage a personal caseload while contributing to the wider needs of the paediatric and new-born wards.

- Opportunities to participate in specialist multidisciplinary clinics, such as DDH (baby hip), orthotic, respiratory, rheumatology and neonatal.

- Offer guidance and supervision to Band 5 physiotherapists, therapy assistants and student physiotherapists.

- Collaborate with other professionals across our child health services to continually improve and develop our physiotherapy offering.

- Work in partnership with children and families to help them understand and manage their own health and wellbeing.

- This role offers flexibility to meet the needs of both the service and the post holder, making it ideal for those seeking a better balance between their personal and professional lives.

### Essential & Desirable

**Essential**

- Description of own children's physiotherapy practice (B5/6 level) within musculoskeletal specialty
- Description of own children's physiotherapy practice (B5/6 level) within neurological or developmental specialty
- Description of own children's physiotherapy practice (B5/6 level) in a respiratory specialty

**Desirable**

- Description of own children's physiotherapy practice within in-patient setting (1 point general ward, 1 point paeds ward)
- Description of delivering own teaching. 1 point for education to CYP/their families, 1 point for teaching to physios, 1 point for teaching to MDT
- Evidence of own supervision of others, inclusive of students, B5 physios or assistants.

### Essentail and desirable

**Essential**

- Evidence of post-graduate CPD training in the specialty of children's physiotherapy (1 mark per area). Do not include short online courses

**Desirable**

- Evidence of their own audit or quality improvement project
