In order to undertake this, the post holder will manage and lead the safeguarding midwifery and perinatal mental health team, and will contribute to delivering the wider safeguarding and mental health services. You will be responsible for offering expert advice and guidance to staff in all matters relating to maternity safeguarding and perinatal mental health and to ensure that we develop a confident and competent workforce that is able to recognise and appropriately respond to any safeguarding concerns. Working closely with the wider safeguarding team you will continually improve and develop the safeguarding agenda, aligning with the Trust's strategic agenda, as well as local and national safeguarding priorities and guidance.
