We have an excellent opportunity for a Band 6 to join our Physiotherapy Rotation at DBTH.

The successful candidate will have the opportunity to develop their skills in the following rotations:  Bassetlaw Inpatients, Orthopaedics, Cardiac Rehabilitation and Rapid Assessment Programme Team with the potential to expand into other clinical areas.

As part of the Team you will play a vital role in providing quality care for our patients over 7-days, whilst delivering the Trust’s goals of reducing length of stay, admission avoidance & optimising patients’ rehabilitation potential.

### Main duties of the job

You will provide specialist assessment, diagnosis & treatment of patients with complex problems as an autonomous practitioner across each of the specialty areas.

You will support the Team Lead in the operational management of each specialty team & service developments on a local or service-wide level

You must have excellent communication & interpersonal skills, with the ability to motivate not only patients but staff. You must be organised, flexible & able to empower others.

You will support other inpatient therapy teams with management of complex discharges and complete specialist holistic assessments.

## Person Specification

### Qualifications/Training

**Essential**

- Diploma/Degree in physiotherapy.
- Current registration with the Health Care Professional Council.
- Understanding and knowledge of clinical governance issues within own clinical practice and wider implications for delivery of patient services.
- Portfolio evidence of reflective practice, relevant experience and CPD.

**Desirable**

- Member of the Chartered Society of Physiotherapy.
- Evidence of relevant post-graduate courses.

### Knowledge and Experience

**Essential**

- Experience as a Band 5 physiotherapist in a broad range of areas including relevant experience in Orthopaedics/ Acute/ IDT in patient.
- Experience of working as part of a physiotherapy and multidisciplinary team.
- Experience in clinical audit, research and effectiveness.

**Desirable**

- Experience in undertaking personal development appraisal.
- Leadership experience.

### Personal Attributes & Skills

**Essential**

- Good communication and listening skills with an understanding of the needs of people with disabilities and their carers.
- Ability to work in collaboration with others and positively influence or coach others in development of skills and knowledge.
- Able to maintain judgement under pressure.
- Positive approach to problem solving.
- Ability to organise own workload and support more junior staff in organisation of their work.
- Ability to delegate effectively.
- Ability to undertake the physical requirements of the post.
- Full Driving Licence
- Access to own transport.
