Please note this post is a is a 12-month fixed term contract. Applicants should be State registered or equivalent. Experience of treatment planning using Varian Eclipse planning system is desirable. The successful applicant will join a growing team of dosimetrists liaising closely with physics, clinical and radiographic staff in the provision of radiotherapy and proton therapy physics services. The ability to work and communicate effectively with minimum supervision is essential. Candidates must have a clinical background with good knowledge of relevant anatomy, physiology, and pathology. As the dosimetry team is hybrid working, a good understanding of using Microsoft Teams is also an essential requirement for this position. ### Main duties of the job The dosimetry team will be expected to produce photon and proton treatment plans for the diverse UCLH case mix, including treatment complex sarcoma, head and neck, neurological and paediatric cancers. The successful candidate will be expected to participate in multidisciplinary discussions to produce the best treatment options for each patient. They will participate in the training of students and other staff members on treatment planning. The postholder will support the Senior Dosimetrists in ensuring treatment planning pathways are delivered in a timely fashion across the radiotherapy and proton therapy services.
