The Critical Care Therapy Team are looking for an enthusiastic, passionate and driven Physiotherapist to join their team.  We're looking for a dynamic and motivated professional with strong clinical expertise and proven leadership skills to help drive service development and deliver high quality, evidenced based therapy interventions.  Please note this is a static post within the Critical Care therapy team.

As a senior Physiotherapist you will provide assessment, treatment and management advice for patients within the new Critical Care unit at Scarborough Hospital, and across surgical wards as required. You should be able to demonstrate advanced skills in prioritising and managing the team's daily caseload, to deliver effective therapy interventions while maintaining the highest professional standards of care. The successful candidate will embody the Trust's values and act as a positive leader within the team, service and wider organisation.

There will be a requirement to be part of the respiratory out of hours on-call rota.

## Person Specification

### Experience & Knowledge Required

**Essential**

- Experience of working in relevant junior role within critical care or high dependency units, including the management of a range of conditions evidenced through acquisition of knowledge through training and supervision
- Developed specialist clinical skills within Critical care.
- Evidence of ability to manage complex clinical presentations.
- Experience in assessment and provision of specialist respriatory equipment
- Experience in using health coaching and motivation skills in rehabilitation sessions to ensure patient centred care within specialist area
- Delivery of relevant audit/service evaluation or research projects
- Understanding of current issues in health care Standards of Professional Practice

**Desirable**

- Experience of working in an acute hospital / NHS environment
- Experience in the use of outcome measures to evaluate clinical treatment
- Experience of training/supporting others (including students) within Critical care

### Education, Qualifications & Training

**Essential**

- Degree in Physiotherapy
- HCPC Registered Physiotherapist
- Active member of out of hours and on-call respiratory rotas
- Evidence of post graduate training in Critical care or respiratory Physiotherapy

**Desirable**

- Practice placement supervisor qualification
