We are seeking enthusiastic and motivated Band 6 Physiotherapists to join our inpatient paediatric team at UHCW NHS Trust.

This is an exciting opportunity to work with children and young people with a wide range of complex needs, including neurological, developmental and respiratory conditions, while being fully supported to grow your skills and expertise.

You will play a key role in delivering high-quality, child and family-centred care, while developing your specialist clinical skills and contributing to service development.

Successful applicants will be required to provide an immunisation and vaccination report, from either their current UK occupational health provider or their UK GP.

### Main duties of the job

To manage a paediatric caseload with varying diagnosis and / or complex needs, using an evidence-based child and family centred approach.

- Undertake specialist assessment of children’s physical, developmental, and functional needs
- Develop and implement individualised treatment plans with child/family-centred goals
- Use a wide range of therapeutic techniques (e.g., neurodevelopmental approaches, respiratory management, functional rehabilitation)
- Monitor, evaluate, and adapt interventions based on clinical reasoning and outcomes
- Provide guidance, education, and support to families, carers, and teaching staff
- Maintain accurate, timely clinical records in line with professional and organisational standards
- To provide Respiratory Physiotherapy for children on wards and HDU , including long term ventilated children with tracheostomies.
- Be an active participant on the on-call rota covering overnight, weekends and bank holidays.
- To support the learning and development of students and staff

Be professional, legally responsible & accountable for all aspects of own work and activities, to manage clinical risk within own clinical caseload.

- Carry a clinical caseload of highly complex patients, provide advanced therapeutic assessment & evaluation and provide detailed written treatment plans with patient centered goals working within ward / department areas.
- Work as an autonomous practitioner and member of the multidisciplinary team, contributing to team discussions and influencing decisions about patient care programs, taking on the role of care coordinator where relevant.
- Carry out treatment, using a broad variety of modalities and clinical reasoning to allow selection of the most appropriate technique evaluating, modifying, and recording all interventions and outcomes & adapting them to meet the needs of the patient.
- Use highly developed manual treatment skills requiring coordination, sensation & dexterity.
- Work in accordance with CSP & HCPC rules of professional conduct and within local care pathways, policies and standards.
- Establish and maintain effective communication networks and be able to communicate complex information effectively to children, families, and professionals
