## Job Content

### Job overview

We are looking for a dynamic and innovative, experienced physiotherapist with proven rehabilitation clinical skills to join the medicine rotation.

Someone who shares our values; where we trust and respect each other, where we take personal responsibility and act with integrity, and where we treat people with kindness.

You will work alongside members of the multidisciplinary team to assess and deliver physiotherapy to patients who may have acute medicine needs, multi-pathologies and complex social needs. You will be required to have proven problem solving skills for complex discharge planning and flexibility in dealing with changes in service provision. You will need to have good time management, resilience and prioritising skills.

### Main duties of the job

This post allows the opportunity to specialise within medicine.  You will further develop your assessment and rehabilitation skills as well as your organisation, delegation, prioritisation and time management skills.  You will also develop expertise in frailty, falls and complex discharge planning. You will  provide clinical supervision to physiotherapists, student physiotherapists and support staff. You will have the opportunity to attend regular In-Service Training and we will support your CPD in line with your annual VBA with opportunities to attend external courses and conferences in line with your personal objectives.

The rotations are approximately 9 months long.  You will work in teams including extended day and 7 day working in front door services, as well as teams across acute medicine and medicine rehabilitation wards on different sites including UHW, UHL and SDH.

You will be required to work your contracted hours flexibly over 7 days and extended days within some rotations, which will include unsocial hours as well as committing to an emergency duty rota when required.

The ability to speak Welsh is desirable for this post; Welsh and/or English speakers are equally welcome to apply.
