This is an exciting opportunity to work within a highly skilled multidisciplinary team delivering specialist care to patients with complex and persistent pain conditions. You will play a key role in providing high-quality, patient-centred physiotherapy, using evidence-based approaches and innovative treatment strategies. This role offers excellent opportunities for professional development, service improvement, and involvement in research within one of the UK’s leading NHS Trusts. In this role, you will contribute to the delivery of specialist physiotherapy care to patients with complex and persistent pain conditions, helping them improve function, confidence, and quality of life. You will use advanced clinical reasoning and a biopsychosocial approach to assess individual needs and develop personalised treatment strategies that empower patients to self-manage their condition effectively. ### Main duties of the job You will deliver a varied and rewarding caseload, including both one-to-one interventions and group-based pain management programmes and exercise classes, supporting patients through education, exercise, and behaviour change approaches. Working closely within a highly experienced multidisciplinary team, you will contribute to coordinated care planning and decision-making for patients with complex needs. Alongside your clinical work, you will play an active role in shaping and improving the service. This includes contributing to service development initiatives, supporting innovation, and participating in audit and quality improvement activity. You will also support the development of others by supervising students and sharing your knowledge and promoting best practice across the team. This role requires a proactive, compassionate clinician with excellent communication skills, the ability to work both independently and collaboratively, and a strong commitment to continuous learning and professional development. Ability to work under pressure - Ability to manage own workload assessing and treating chronic complex and challenging patients and to determine priorities - Application of sound clinical reasoning to a diverse group of patients with chronic pain conditions demonstrating specialist analytical skills and use of objective measures. - Demonstrate good time management, prioritising and changing plans as appropriate to allow for day to day changes in staffing and patients conditions. - Ability to reflect and critically appraise own performance - Evidence of initiative - Demonstrates understanding of principles and practice or Clinical Governance e.g. health and safety and risk management. - Evidence of concise written communication.
