The service sees patients who have suffered limb loss, from 0 - 100. As a regional service, all types of amputees are seen, including upper limb, congenital, and multiple limb loss. The successful post holder will be required to work across NUH in and outpatient settings, as well as in community settings, to provide physiotherapeutic intervention. The role includes participating in a full MDT outpatient clinic, helping to support amputees throughout their life. You will work within a multidisciplinary team led by a Clinical Lead, alongside Medical staff, physiotherapy staff, occupational therapy staff, nursing staff, and prosthetists. You will be required to support the physiotherapy service, which currently comprises a Band 7 Team Lead, Rotational Band 5, and a Therapy Assistant. You will need to possess excellent communication skills and negotiation skills to work with this patient group, as well as to work successfully with the MDT. The role is suitable for an experienced band 5 or existing band 6 looking for a new challenge, and you should enjoy working in a multidisciplinary team. You must have a broad based experience across in and outpatients.
