About the RoleNHS Tayside Pharmacy Services are seeking an experienced pharmacy technician to join our Angus Hospital Pharmacy Team. This role is central to delivering safe, effective and person-centred care for patients across Arbroath Infirmary and Whitehills Health & Community Care Centre in Forfar.

As a registered pharmacy technician with the GPhC, you will bring your professional expertise to provide direct patient care across a diverse range of inpatient services, including patients in medicine for the elderly and palliative care. You will work as part of integrated multidisciplinary teams, supporting safe admission, timely discharge, and improved medicines management in line with national priorities.

This is also a leadership role. You will provide line management and operational management for a small team of pharmacy technicians, supporting staff development, supervision, training and competency assessment. You will contribute to service improvement through implementation of standard operating procedures, workforce planning, and delivering against key quality and patient safety indicators. Just as importantly, you will foster a positive work culture acting as a role model to support colleagues, encourage learning, development & innovation and, promote NHS values in everyday practice.

What We are Looking ForApplications are welcomed from Pharmacy Technicians who:

- Are registered with the General Pharmaceutical Council (GPhC)
- Hold a recognised Accuracy Checking qualification
- Have completed an HNC in Pharmacy Services and Management (or equivalent)

We may also consider applications from those who are willing to work towards an HNC in Pharmacy Services and Management (or equivalent). If such an applicant were successful, they would be appointed at Band 5 until the specific requirements are met, at which point the post would be upgraded to Band 6.

- Resilience and adaptability, with the ability to work under pressure and respond to changing service needs
