We have an exciting opportunity for an innovative, skilled clinical pharmacist to work as a core member of in-patient and community teams across East Sussex, being based at our new hospital. Combe Valley - a new mental health hospital for Bexhill :: Sussex Partnership NHS Foundation Trust You should have an interest in working within a specialist mental health service, an understanding of the medicines used and patients we care for. The post holder will be supported to undertake further accreditation and training as appropriate, and there are many opportunities to develop the role and service to in-patient wards. You will be joining a friendly, supportive pharmacy team which is highly regarded in the Trust. This role represents a great opportunity to start or continue a career in mental health and can lead to future senior roles. The pharmacy leadership team is committed to education and training of the pharmacy workforce and will provide access to external training (including the introductory College of Mental Health Pharmacy Psych 1 and Psych 2 programme). ### Main duties of the job The post holder will provide a clinical pharmacy and medicines optimisation service to ensure patients get the best from their medicines, have a strong commitment to medicines education and training so that patients, pharmacy staff and other healthcare professionals are well informed and able to manage their use of medicines correctly, safely and cost effectively. The role will support the safe and effective use of medicines within the service, working closely with the pharmacy staff within the East Sussex locality of Sussex Partnership, and as part of the wider service MDT and Trust wide pharmacy team. The role requires an excellent clinical communicator with an interest in patient facing and multidisciplinary team working. In addition, the appraisal of clinical evidence and generation of high quality pharmacotherapeutic advice to support colleagues will feature as a core part of working. ### Detailed job description and main responsibilities Please see attached job description and person specification. As we grow our dispensary function, all staff will play a key role in supporting the implementation and delivery of this service while we recruit into new dispensary roles, helping to shape a dynamic and collaborative working environment. ### Applicant requirements You must have appropriate UK professional registration.
