Current registration with the NMC or HCPC is essential for all registered professional roles. ### Main duties of the job As an experienced practitioner the jobholder will co-ordinate activities within the peri-operative environment ensuring effective communication is maintained at all times, providing support to qualified and unqualified staff within the department. He/she will play a key role in the assessment of patient care needs and the development, implementation and evaluation of programmes of care. The jobholder will play an essential role assisting Team Leader in leading and teaching the peri-operative teams. The jobholder will act as a role model, promoting quality evidence-based practice, developing the peri-operative team and ensuring effective management of the department in the absence of the Team Leader.
