You would ideally have some knowledge of symptom control for patients with end of life malignant or non-malignant care needs. The job will involve the education and training of other health professionals regarding end of life and specialist palliative care across North West Anglia NHS Trust and the local community. In supporting a seven day specialist palliative care service the Trust region and the local community, the successful candidates will need to work weekends and Bank Holidays pro rata. The role offers an opportunity to develop palliative care knowledge and experience across the hospital and community provision in the region. This secondment or fixed term opportunity does have some potential to become permanent in the future though this is in no way guaranteed. ### Main duties of the job To deliver high quality holistic palliative care interventions to patients with complex palliative care needs, their families and support care teams.
