The teams are part of the wider Children's Therapies team,  a supportive and dynamic team  with many  professional development opportunities. You will have: - Knowledge and/or experience of working with, a diverse paediatric caseload - Experience working with parents of young children - Experience of supporting the evaluation of service delivery - Experience in delivering universal and / or targeted level offers to mainstream schools - Ability to work effectively as part of a multi-agency team - Ability to work flexibly and independently where necessary - Enthusiasm, imagination, and initiative - Understanding of the neurodiversity framework The role will encompass supervision and and support of junior speech and language therapists as well as speech and language therapy assistants. The post holder will also support the development and evaluation of service delivery. ### Main duties of the job - To undertake specialist paediatric assessment of children on own caseload, who may have complex presentations and from this assessment to formulate a treatment plan and carry out this treatment as an autonomous practitioner. - To work closely with parents/carers and school staff to support the child. - To work closely with children's mainstream school and local inclusion teams and other relevant members of the MDT. - To supervise and support undergraduate students, and be involved in teaching staff as well as those from other agencies. - To support the implementation of evidence-based projects, including making recommendations for change in practice and participating in departmental research and audit as appropriate. **Please see the attached supporting job description and person specification document, which contains more information about the role and requirements.
