The role:

We are looking for a member to join our large paediatric dietetic team, working across acute wards and outpatient services, with opportunities to rotate through specialist areas such as gastroenterology, cystic fibrosis, neonates, renal, oncology, ketogenic diets and paediatric intensive care. You would work as part of a multidisciplinary team and contribute to student training.

Duration, Location, and Working Pattern:

Full-time, permanent

Shift Pattern - Monday – Friday – 7.2 hours/day

Base location - The Royal Hospital for Children

Key responsibilities:

- Providing dietetic care to acute paediatric wards and outpatient clinics.
- Working within specialist rotations to develop advanced clinical skills.
- Collaborating with medical, nursing and AHP colleagues as part of the MDT.
- Participating in the Scottish student clinical placement programme.
- Progressing through a competency framework if appointed at Band 5 with the aim of achieving Band 6.

Providing dietetic care to acute paediatric wards and outpatient clinics.

Working within specialist rotations to develop advanced clinical skills.

Collaborating with medical, nursing and AHP colleagues as part of the MDT.

Participating in the Scottish student clinical placement programme.

Knowledge, training, qualifications and/or experience required to do the job:

- BSc in Dietetics or equivalent, with HCPC registration.
- Core knowledge of paediatric nutrition and growth.
- Evidence of relevant experience or postgraduate training in paediatrics or acute specialities such as complex nutrition support.
- Potential access to funded BDA post‑registration paediatric modules.
