Band 6 Specialist Occupational Therapist, CAMHS, Learning Disability (LD) team, Aberdeen city and Aberdeenshire

1 post – Permanent – 26 hours

An Occupational Therapist (OT), registered with HCPC, is sought to join the CAMHS OT Service to work with young people aged 0-18 years, in a community setting within Aberdeen city, Aberdeenshire and Moray. Some young people will also be seen within the CAMHS Links Unit at the City Hospital, Aberdeen. The post holder will be based in Aberdeen as part of a multidisciplinary team in LD team, CAMHS. This is a permanent post within a small CAMHS OT and AHP team.

The CAMHS team is welcoming and has a broad range of skills and knowledge, which encompasses profession specific and other modalities.The post holder will be confident in OT practice and welcome the opportunity to extend skills and develop differing competencies in a more specialist LD CAMHS role. The person will require excellent communication skills and be a team player. Training and support for professional development will be provided and we are committed to regular supervision to support safe practice.

Candidates should be aware that there will be a requirement to travel therefore holding a full UK driving licence is essential for this post.
