We work holistically with people to develop new skills and build brighter futures. We use the Model of Human Occupation (MOHO) to structure assessments, 1:1 and group interventions. We need someone who understands the importance of maintaining an occupational focus in the team and be able to advocate the value of activity in people’s recovery journey. Full support will be provided by the experienced Band 7 Eating Disorder Advanced Occupational Therapist, as well as peer supervision with the OT team, we also have links with Occupational Therapists in the TEWV Eating Disorders Team. All staff are actively encouraged to take part in the development of the Occupational Therapy Service. Your personal development is important to us and we will give you opportunity to learn and develop the skills needed to work with the patient group. It is essential you are registered as an Occupational Therapist with the HCPC to be considered for this post. ### Main duties of the job To be responsible for the Occupational Therapy provision within the team, and management of a caseload of service users who present with a variety of complex mental health needs. In partnership with the Service Users and Carers you will develop collaborative intervention plans, ensuring regular reviews to monitor progress and adapt as necessary. To consider Carer needs and ensure Carer and family are involved in Care Planning where appropriate. To take role of Lead Professional when required To deliver evidenced based Occupational Therapy assessment and interventions. The post holder will work as a member of the Multi-disciplinary Team ensuring that high quality individualised care is delivered which ensures safety and a commitment to promoting recovery and wellbeing and maximising independence. Coordinate treatment planning & interventions, reviews and discharge planning. To provide compassionate care that is based on empathy, kindness, respect and dignity. Guidance). - Demonstrate effective written and verbal communication skills **Desirable** - Clinical Leadership. Training & Induction of staff. - Teaching/Presentation skills. ### Knowledge and Experience **Essential** - Awareness and understanding of professional accountability, HCPC and RCOT standards and other local and national initiatives - Proven track record of post registration clinical experience relevant to the post.
