The position is primarily based on the consultant led 30 bedded Trauma and Orthopaedic ward at Hillingdon Hospital. You will be involved in the multi-professional audited pathways for Fractured neck of femur patients and major trauma cases and contribute to the ongoing review and improvement targets with these national drivers. We also have an Older Adults rehabilitation ward on site where a proportion of our patients will continue their orthopaedic recovery after leaving the acute ward which is led by an Ortho-geriatrician. This post also has a leadership component for the therapy input into the discharge ready service based on site. We are looking for an enthusiastic and experienced OT passionate about serving the T+O population here as part of our friendly, integrated inpatient therapy department. The therapy department is the third largest staff group within the Trust and is widely respected. As an Occupational Therapist, you will play an essential part in the assessment, treatment, and discharge of patients. You will work closely with the patient, their support network, and Multidisciplinary colleagues to achieve a positive outcome. ### Main duties of the job In this role you will also have the opportunity to develop your leadership skills and contribute to the efficient flow of patients through our hospitals.
