Occupational therapy takes a “whole-person approach” to both mental and physical health and wellbeing and enables individuals to achieve their full potential. RCOT 2024

An exciting opportunity has presented for an experienced and adaptable occupational therapist who is HCPC registered.

As part of our Occupational Therapy Service, the post holder will manage their own specialist caseload providing specialist Occupational Therapy Assessment and Treatment with patient’s on Brodie and Corgarff Ward at Royal Cornhill Hospital. Brodie ward is a specialist Brain Injury service and Corgarff is situated within the Community Rehab Pathway as a 12-bedded slow stream rehab unit.

Using evidence-based practice and patient centred principles they will assess, plan, implement and evaluate individual and group interventions for patients with complex mental health needs to support patient flow through the hospital setting. They will demonstrate excellent communication, leadership skills and an enthusiasm for collaborative practice within an inpatient mental health context.

You can expect to be fully supported through our established system of supervision and personal development plans. We have a strong commitment to MDT working, clinical governance, CPD and evidence-based practice. We fully support national undergraduate OT training programmes and regularly accept students on practice placements.

Please note that we have an additional Band 6 post. It is anticipated that applicants for both posts will only need to follow one interview process to be considered for both.
