### Main duties of the job

- To maintain and further develop the current Occupational Therapy role within the Community Mental Health Team, including 1:1 and group provision.
- Provision of Occupational Therapy to a defined caseload of patients within the Community Mental Health Service, using evidence-based practice, Occupational Therapy process and client centred principles.
- To contribute to assessment and planning, implementation, and evaluation of interventions within the context of a multi-disciplinary team.
- To support with generic tasks within the team as required.
- To contribute to the development of the Trust Occupational Therapy Service and best practice initiatives.
- To support with the development of Occupational Therapy support worker role within the team.

## Person Specification

### Skills and Aptitude

**Essential**

- Skills to apply and interpret standardised Occupational Therapy assessment tools.
- Experience of clinical risk assessment and management in mental health

**Desirable**

- Leadership experience / qualification

### Education / Qualifications and Relevant Experience

**Essential**

- HCPC Registration
- BSC/Diploma Occupational Therapy
- Proven experience of working with patients with complex and challenging needs, including physical and cognitive impairment
- Relevant post-graduate qualification or equivalent specialist experience eg. AMPS, Sensory Integration, DBT
