### Job overview

Are you an experienced Business Intelligence or Information Analyst looking to make a real difference? Do you want to help shape services that improve outcomes for patients? Would you like to work for an outstanding NHS Trust? If so, we'd love to hear from you.

The Integrated Intelligence & Improvement Service (IIIS) specialises in statutory reporting, business intelligence, performance monitoring, analytical insight and service improvement. Due to an internal promotion, an exciting opportunity has arisen for an enthusiastic and motivated Specialist Information Analyst to join our dynamic and forward-thinking team.

This role is ideal for an ambitious individual looking to further develop their analytical and technical skills within a supportive environment. You will have the opportunity to work across a wide range of services, collaborating with clinical and operational teams while gaining valuable experience in one of the Trust's key intelligence functions. We are committed to supporting your personal and professional development through ongoing learning and career progression opportunities.

The postholder will be responsible for the development, maintenance and enhancement of a comprehensive suite of reports and dashboards that support operational delivery, clinical services, performance monitoring and data quality improvement. You will utilise the most appropriate tools for each requirement, including Microsoft Power BI, SQL and Excel.

### Main duties of the job

A high level of proficiency in SQL is essential. As well as querying and manipulating complex datasets, you will play a key role in developing, maintaining and optimising the Trust's data pipelines, ensuring data is extracted, transformed and delivered efficiently into the data warehouse to provide reliable, high-quality information for reporting and analysis.

You will be responsible for designing and delivering intuitive dashboards and analytical products using Microsoft Power BI and Excel, providing expert analysis and insight across your areas of responsibility. The ability to engage with stakeholders, scope reporting requirements, interpret complex information and present findings clearly to senior managers, clinicians and operational teams is essential. Strong data interpretation, communication and problem-solving skills will be key to your success in this role.

You will be educated to degree level in a numerate discipline, or possess an equivalent professional qualification and/or significant relevant experience. You will have excellent analytical, communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively across multidisciplinary teams. Previous experience of healthcare information and NHS datasets would be advantageous but is not essential.

### Detailed job description and main responsibilities

The successful candidate will work across both the Business Intelligence and Performance teams within IIIS. Professional leadership, technical development and ongoing support will be provided by the Business Intelligence team, while day-to-day priorities will be aligned with the Performance team. The primary focus of the role will be supporting the Trust's Community Services, which currently utilise both System One and EMIS Community systems.
