The Fertility service at Barts Health is one of the largest NHS services and has excellent clinical results. The Centre receives referrals for secondary and tertiary diagnosis and treatment, and offers a wide range of services, including all forms of male and female outpatient diagnostic assessment, assisted reproduction technologies including IUI, IVF, ICSI, sperm and ovum donation, a full range of sperm retrieval techniques, and male and female fertility preservation for acute and chronic conditions including oncological. The Centre also offers specialised menopausal, gynae-endocrinology and andrology clinics, and general benign gynaecological and reproductive surgery. ### Main duties of the job The successful applicant will join the senior team of three Subsepciality trained consultants and two Specialist grade doctors in providing a complete range of services, as well as managing and training junior medical and nursing staff. The post holder will be expected to participate in all activities of the consultant-led general fertility and assisted reproductive technology (ART) service, including outpatient clinics, theatre lists and IVF procedures (egg retrievals, embryo transfers, fertility scanning etc.).
