### Job overview

We are looking to recruit a full-time doctor to take up a Specialist role under 2021 contract terms in Ophthalmology. The main base is Chesterfield Royal, which is a busy and friendly district general hospital, where you will work as part of our well established ophthalmic team. The department has also developed good links and works collaboratively with local tertiary trusts in the surrounding area.

This is a senior appointment for an individual possessing substantial experience in ophthalmology who will be given opportunity to take an active part in the operational management of the department with colleagues and to the development of our expanding services

We are looking for an individual with good general ophthalmic skills with a willingness to develop sub-speciality skills, and it is anticipated that there will be opportunities for the appointee to develop further a nascent sub-specialty interest within the role.
