The Eldercare and Stroke team are seeking a Specialist Doctor to join the team and support the management of Acute Frailty, Orthogeriatric, Parkinsons’ and Eldercare inpatients at Royal Cornwall Hospital.

### Main duties of the job

Maintenance of the highest clinical standards in the management ofAcute Frailty, Orthogeriatric, Parkinsons’ and Eldercare inpatients at Royal Cornwall Hospital

To provide duties including outpatient and inpatient care and advice and guidance to other professionals.

To share with colleagues’ responsibility for the day-to-day management of Eldercare patients (including but not exclusively; those with Femoral fractures), in line with national and local clinical guidelines.

Teaching and training of junior staff, medical students, and Allied Health Professionals.

To have responsibility for ensuring active participation in continuing medical education (CME).

To actively participate in both departmental and Trust matters concerning Clinical Governance, Patient Safety, Quality Improvement and audit.

To attend meetings as appropriate.

Fulfill duties of weekly timetable, potentially including out of hours or weekends.
