You will support adult patients with a variety of clinical conditions and be able to access development opportunities such as  leadership training and group facilitation  skills in diabetes structured education. Recently we have changed the way we work to offer a more virtual and flexible service. With this in mind, we can accommodate people working from home some of the time but most of the role will be face to face with patients/colleagues.

We welcome applications from Allied Health Professionals with relevant experience and transferable skills.

The successful AHP applicant will have access to continuing professional development (CPD) opportunities and professional networks to support ongoing professional development and professional registration requirements

### Main duties of the job

Main duties:

The role will have a varied community caseload including malnutrition, enteral tube feeding, diabetes and gastrointestinal conditions. This list is not exhaustive and many patients have complex needs. We work in a variety of settings such as clinics, patient’s homes and community wards, as well as offering virtual and telephone consultations.  We also deliver education to groups of patients and other health professionals. We provide student training to A, B and C student dietitians and work closely with our Humber paediatric, mental health and catering  dietetic colleagues, covering services in Malton,  Pocklington, Scarborough, Whitby and East Riding to provide our placements. Candidates will require the ability to be flexible and adaptable to meet the needs of the service. Our team is focused on training, we have great CPD opportunities and clinical supervision to maintain and develop our specialist knowledge and skills.
