Are you looking for a new challenge and interested in extending you knowledge and skills in the interesting and dietetically focused area of gastroenterology?

We are looking for a motivated, enthusiastic Dietitian, with excellent communication and team working skills, to join our friendly and dynamic Nutrition and Dietetic Department at Leeds Teaching Hospitals Trust as a Specialist Gastroenterology Dietitian (Band 6), on a full-time basis. The successful applicant will be supported by the gastroenterology dietetic team, which has a great skill mix, to develop the knowledge and skills required to provide care to both inpatient and outpatients, with a wide range of gastrointestinal diseases.

The team form part of the Abdominal Medicine, Critical Care and Obesity team which hosts a variety of specialist areas, including liver disease, with which the team work closely with. The department strongly encourage personal and service development.

You will be fully supported by an experienced, collaborative gastroenterology dietetic team who are committed to developing your confidence and skills while delivering highquality, patientcentred care. Working closely with the wider multidisciplinary team, you will play a key role in ensuring safe, effective and evidencebased nutritional management for people living with gastrointestinal conditions.

### Main duties of the job

Key Responsibilities

Deliver specialist, evidencebased dietetic care across acute inpatient and outpatient services
Support patients gastrointestinal conditions including:
inflammatory bowel disease
coeliac disease
irritable bowel syndrome
alcoholic liver disease
eating disorders
Undertake comprehensive clinical and dietary assessments to identify nutritional diagnoses
Develop and implement individualised, patientcentred treatment plans
Educate patients, carers and healthcare professionals on therapeutic diets and nutrition support in gastrointestinal conditions
As a Specialist Dietitian, you will also contribute to service development, quality improvement and professional practice across the Dietetic Department and Renal Services.
