The base hours for this role will be Monday – Friday 8:00am – 4:00pm but the formal working pattern will be agreed following appointment. Please note: We reserve the right to close this vacancy early if we receive sufficient applications for the role. ### Main duties of the job The specialist children’s nurse will support children who have an Enfield based GP with continuing care needs or who are life limited or life threatened conditions and this will include children and young adults who require end of life care. To be a key professional working alongside the multidisciplinary team (MDT), to provide a full range of services for the individual child & family. To be expert clinical children’s nurse to meet the needs of a diverse and challenging group of children and young people. To assess and review children and young adults who are currently receiving or may be eligible for continuing health care funding The post holder has responsibility for the delivery of the service and for implementing and reviewing systems, policies, standards and procedures that ensure the provision of high-quality services within frameworks agreed by the Trust and Commissioners. The post holder will ensure the promotion of children’s safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people.
