Clients will be experiencing severe, complex and enduring psychological, emotional and mental health difficulties. The post holder will carry out this process in consultation as appropriate with the client and the family, fellow team members, other professionals, and the referrer. Powys CAMHS has well established links with partner agencies, neighbouring CAMHS services and educational establishments. Individuals are encouraged to work autonomously with appropriate support and guidance from senior team members. This post is advertised as a Band 6, however applicants that are undertaking the relevant qualification who do not yet currently hold all the necessary competencies to a Band 6 level are encouraged to apply and, if successful, will be appointed under Annex 21 rules whereby 70% of the top of Band 6 will be payable during the first 12 months, 75% for the second 12 months or until qualification has been completed. We would particularly welcome applications from Welsh speakers; but even if you don’t speak any Welsh, or want to develop your skills, don’t worry: the health board will support you with training. ### Main duties of the job We are looking for a highly motivated specialist practitioner to join our CAMHS Service. The successful applicant will be based in a community based service across the communities of Powys. travelling between North and South Powys will be required - Lead the development of a dedicated pathway to support reintegration into the community, promoting independence, social inclusion, and improved quality of life. - Support the development of staff and strengthen the interface between primary and secondary care to ensure coordinated, person-centred care packages. - Facilitate opportunities for young people to reconnect with their communities through education, volunteering, and social activities, including innovative approaches such as peer groups and nature-based interventions. - Plan and deliver evidence-based clinical interventions for children and young people with serious mental illness and complex presentations. - Act as Care Coordinator in line with the Mental Health (Wales) Measure 2010, adopting a recovery-focused, person-centred approach to co-produce individualised care plans. - Apply specialist therapeutic skills and NICE-aligned interventions, working autonomously with appropriate supervision while maintaining CAMHS and professional standards. ### Detailed job description and main responsibilities You will be able to find a full Job description and Person Specification attached within the supporting documents or please click “Apply now” to view in Trac. ### Applicant requirements You must have appropriate UK professional registration.
