We are looking to recruit bank staff who have the skills, experience and credibility to undertake discrete assignments/projects in any one of the specialist areas identified below, having in-depth knowledge and understanding of some or all of the specialist areas (e.g. Clinical Quality, IM&T, People Management, Finance, and Performance & Information)

These assignments may be advice/consultancy, training, workshop/forum chairing & facilitation, project assurance, assessments or audit.

Our range of clients is growing and whilst our main source of work is the NHS and their partners, individuals who have worked in the relevant specialist area at a senior level within other sectors are welcome to apply.

Specialist Assurance Associates (Bank) provide 360 Assurance with the capacity and the flexibility to provide a more responsive service to clients as well as seize new opportunities for growth.

### Main duties of the job

- Deliver specialist assurance work including audits, reviews, consultancy, training, workshops and project assurance.
- Provide expert advice and practical recommendations to improve governance, risk management, controls, quality and efficiency
- Analyse complex information and produce clear reports, briefings and findings for senior and Board-level audiences.
- Build effective client relationships with senior stakeholders, negotiating assignments and securing agreement to recommendations.
- Manage assignments independently within agreed timescales, budgets, quality standards and professional requirements.

Support service development and growth by identifying risks, opportunities, good practice and new areas of specialist assurance work.

### Experience & Knowledge

**Essential**

- Up-to-date knowledge of health and social care national policy
- Highly developed analytical skills
- Significant experience at a director/ deputy director level within specialist area
- Significant experience of writing Undertaking audit/system wide review Page | 9 reports for Board Committees which cover more than one specialist area
- Responsibility (can be shared) for organisational risk management Undertaking audit/system wide review

### Education, Training and Qualifications CPD Requirements

**Essential**

- Professional qualification and professional body membership in relevant specialist area (e.g. GMC, NMC, IRM, CIPD)
- Undergraduate degree or Equivalent GCSE Maths and English at Grade C or above
- Masters degree or equivalent training and experience related to specialist area
- Additional post-graduate qualification(s) and associated experience in another specialist area
- Combination of 2.4 & 2.5 (formal training/accreditation, other training and experience) equivalent to doctorate
