The vacancy will be based in one of our six special schools and will require some clinical support across any of the schools. We are looking for an experienced nurse, who has previously worked in a school environment or healthcare role with children and young people. We will offer you clinical supervision, regular appraisal, training and support in achieving your personal development plan as well as peer support from colleagues in similar roles. You will be taking an important role within the delivery of integrated children’s acute and community services. Child Health offers excellent development opportunities and a range of expertise for advice and support in your role. ### Main duties of the job You will have responsibility for ensuring plans of care are maintained and reviewed, support consultant led clinics, work with children and families to help achieve maximum independence in health and wellbeing and develop best practice in line with the Child Health Strategy and health promotion.  You will work closely with teachers and classroom assistants in meeting care needs and in teaching health interventions and health promotion skills.
