### Main duties of the job

As a Sous Chef at Avery Healthcare, you'll have the opportunity to make a positive impact on residents every day. Your primary focus will be supporting the head chef in leading a culinary team to provide a balanced, comprehensive, and high-quality culinary service. This includes preparing modified diets that are appealing and well-balanced according to IDDSI guidance. You will supervise and direct culinary staff as guided by the Head Chef, providing instruction to unqualified staff in food preparation. Responsibilities also include adhering to principles of safe food handling, ensuring the kitchen's hygiene standards, and supporting the team in understanding the Avery Food safety management system.
