Are you an experienced Sonographer looking for your next opportunity within a supportive, innovative and patient-focused team?

Somerset NHS Foundation Trust is seeking a highly motivated Advanced Practitioner Sonographer to join our friendly Ultrasound Department at Yeovil Hospital. This is an exciting opportunity to work within a well-established service providing a comprehensive range of obstetric, gynaecological and general ultrasound examinations across both acute and community settings.

As an autonomous practitioner, you will undertake and report a wide variety of ultrasound investigations, delivering high-quality diagnostic services that support effective patient care and clinical decision-making.

The position is for 15 - 37.5 hours to be discussed with potential candidates at interview.

### Main duties of the job

- Independently perform and report a broad range of ultrasound examinations including: General abdominal ultrasoundObstetric and gynaecological ultrasoundFoetal anomaly scanningNuchal translucency screening (training available if required)Neonatal hip ultrasoundDVT, carotid, testicular and MSK examinations
- Provide expert diagnostic reports and recommendations to clinicians.
- Deliver compassionate, patient-centred care, including in sensitive and complex situations.
- Support and mentor students, junior colleagues and multidisciplinary team members.
- Contribute to service development, audit, quality improvement and clinical governance activities.
- Participate in weekend and Bank Holiday ultrasound services.

- Previous foetal anomaly, hips and abdominal scanning.
- Nuchal scanning
- Doppler experience and testicular scanning
- Post qualification experience

### Qualifications

- Post Grad Certificate or Diploma in medical ultrasound
- Under graduate degree in Radiography, Nursing or Midwifery
- CASE accredited qualification in Obstetric ultrasound
- CASE accredited qualification in General Medical ultrasound
- HCPC or NMC registration
