This post is a Fixed Term/ Secondment until 31.05.2027. If you are a Hywel Dda University Health Board employee and are applying for this post as a secondment, agreement for the secondment is needed from your current manager prior to application.

We are seeking an enthusiastic, committed and highly motivated individual who is hardworking, forward-thinking and innovative in their approach. The successful candidate will possess excellent organisational and communication skills, with the ability to lead and support staff effectively while maintaining high standards of service delivery.

The post holder will be required to work 5 days on a 7-day rota between 3:00pm and 7:00pm. Flexibility to meet the needs of the service is essential. While applicants will not be required to work additional hours on a regular basis, the ability and willingness to provide occasional cover for annual leave, sickness absence, and periods of increased service demand would be advantageous.

You will be responsible for ensuring that Domestic Services staff provide a high-quality, comprehensive cleaning and meal service across wards and departments.

The successful candidate will oversee the day-to-day operational management of the team, with a particular focus on evening service delivery. As part of this role, you will be expected to provide support and supervision to the evening domestic teams based at Tenby Cottage Hospital and Pembroke Dock Health Centre. Therefore, the ability to travel between sites in a timely manner is essential.

The ability to speak Welsh is desirable for this post; however, applications are equally welcomed from both Welsh and English speakers.

The postholder will have access to vulnerable people in the course of their normal duties and as such this post is subject to the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act 1974 (Exceptions) Order 1975 (Amendment) (England and Wales) Order 2020 and as such it will be necessary for a submission for Disclosure to be made to the Disclosure and Barring Service to check for any previous criminal convictions.
