Evaluation of care in collaboration with patient / carers and multidisciplinary team. Involved in the care of trauma patients and resuscitation of critically unwell patients. Accurate documentation of nursing care delivered. Be a safe practitioner aware of own limitations and reporting any areas of concern to a more senior nurse. Work effectively as part of a team. Awareness of and co-operating in maintaining Accident and Emergency health care targets in the best interest of the patient. Participate in teaching / training of more junior staff. Follow policy and procedure accurately for Safeguarding both children and adults Ongoing development of skills and knowledge to become a competent Emergency Department nurse. To use electronic systems e.g. EPR safely and as per departmental policy To appropriately escalate when care standard is thought to be below par To participate in ED specific training e.g. decontamination training.
