### Job summary

Job Summary Join SIM (Specialty Integrated Medicine) at LTHT we have an exciting chance for a Band 6 role within one of the general internal medical wards. Ward J29 is currently a 29 bedded ward, accommodating a combination of female and male patients. The post holder will be responsible for leading the ward staff and working closely in collaboration with the MDT across Specialty Integrated Medicine. J29 provides a great standard of quality care for all our patients and we are looking for highly skilled nurses to continue the fantastic work that J29 has already achieved in caring for the patients of Leeds so we are looking for a enthusiastic and dynamic individual with the capability to empower a team whilst remaining patient centered. Applicants will be expected to practice effectively & delivery excellent care in a timely manner to our patient group. A commitment to personal professional development is essential with the promise from the managing team that we are dedicated to developing our workforce. Candidates are required to have substantial experience at Band 5 level and have substantial acute nursing background with experience in caring for patients in an acute setting. Our services include General Internal Medicine, Older Peoples Medicine (including Same Day Emergency Care), Diabetes, Endocrinology, HIV Outpatients, Leeds Sexual Health, Infectious Diseases and a variety of related specialisms. We work closely with other teams across the Trust, facilitating the admission, care and discharge of one of its largest acute patient cohorts. Leeds Teaching Hospitals is committed to our process of redeploying 'at risk' members of our existing workforce to new roles.
