### JOB SUMMARY

The postholder will be required to work with the Technology Enabled Change Manager to ensure that the project objectives are set and met and in particular to manage and implement Information Systems Technology (ITS) projects as allocated by the Assistant Director of Digital in accordance with Trust priorities.

The postholder will take a lead role in planning, executing and ensuring implementation of projects in to meet challenging deadlines within budget. This includes identifying and effectively communicating resource requirements, work packages and coordinating efforts of the project team and any third party contractors / vendors in order to deliver projects according to plan.

### KEY DUTIES / RESPONSIBILITIES

1. Under the direction of the Technology Enabled Change Manager the postholder will take the lead role in managing ITS projects from beginning to end, as allocated by the Assistant Director of Digital in accordance with Trust priorities.

2. Define and communicate project scope, goals and deliverables that support the business goals of the project. Complete associated documentation including project brief, project mandate, project initiation document, highlight and exception reports, risk assessments & log etc.

3. Effectively communicate project expectations to team members and stakeholders in a timely and clear fashion and continually liaise with these stakeholders throughout the life of the project.

4. Develop work packages and project plans for each project, clearly documenting these and communicating and agreeing these with Work Package leads to ensure that projects are delivered on time and on budget. Holding to account is an essential element of this role.

5. Develop project plans and associated project communication documents in line with the Prince 2 project framework. Plan and schedule project timelines and milestones using the appropriate tools (eg Microsoft Project or Project Vision software), track project milestones and deliverables. Define resources and resource schedule within the project plan and ensure the right people with the right skills are available to the project team. Delegate tasks and responsibilities to the appropriate personnel and monitor progress through a robust Project Board/Team.

6. Monitor the project implementation and produce highlight reports and exception reports to project board, highlighting risks at an early stage so that corrective action can be agreed and taken forward.

7. Direct, manage and motivate and supervise project team members and contractors and influence them to take positive action and accountability for their assigned work. Identify and resolve issues and conflicts within the project team.

8. Build, develop and grow relationships vital to the success of the project.

9. Communicate effectively with the Project team and Project Board, present project plan, risks and highlight reports through presentations and written communication. Plan, schedule and provide documentation for regular Project Board meetings included agendas and minutes and follow up on any actions.

10. Participate in project scoping exercises as required and continue to monitor the markets for new technologies which allow continual service improvement and support service redesign.

11. Manage expectations of stakeholders though project plans, progress reports etc and facilitate effective communication with stakeholders to ensure any change management conflicts are managed effectively.
