The postholder will be based on general internal medicine wards, experiencing a wide range of clinical cases including Cardiology, Respiratory, Gastroenterology, Diabetes & Endocrinology, Elderly Care, Haematology and Acute Medicine. They have option to participate in the on-call rota. The post holder will be predominately based at Royal Hampshire County Hospital, but should also be prepared to work at any HHFT site if required. Working within a team of specialist Consultants and junior doctors, the post holder will be expected to initiate and provide sound clinical/medical practices to patients admitted to the Medicine division, whilst supporting patients' family and friends demonstrating the patient is the central focus of care. ### Main duties of the job Clerk and post take administration; writing in patients notes Undertake patient reviews Investigating and initiating medical management Patient assessment Drug prescription Discharge administration Promptly update patient systems Attend clinics Attend Multi-Disciplinary Team (MDT) meetings.
