The Department of Anaesthetics in Carmarthenshire is seeking a Service Support Manager to join the administration team supporting the Service.

This is a challenging role, based in Glangwili General Hospital working directly with a large medical workforce who work across two hospital locations and the post holder must be able to work autonomously with minimum levels of supervision.

The post holder will provide a comprehensive support to the Service Delivery Manager, Clinical leadership and Service Manager across day-to-day operational management, and liaising on matters regarding staffing, payroll, changes of circumstances, E-rostering, absence management.  The role also provides a full administrative service to the Service Delivery Manager and Clinical Leads, including oversight of rosters, diaries, meetings, clinical incidents, collating information / documents as required.

### Main duties of the job

The Service Support Manager in Anaesthetics will provide comprehensive administrative support to the Service Delivery and Clinical Lead teams.  The role will specifically focus on:

Collaboration with leads and staff across multiple areas including electronic rosters, managing absences and emergent concerns, as well as supporting effective and efficient daily operational service function and activity.

Establish and maintain effective relationships with all members of the anaesthetic team, the wider clinicians group and Health Board colleagues.

Management of information systems supporting the service function – e.g. electronic rotas, WPAS, Microsoft platforms.

The role requires an ability to work independently and as part of a team, together with excellent communication and organisational skills to prioritise work, meet deadlines and work under pressure.

The ability to speak Welsh is desirable for this post; English and/or Welsh speakers are equally welcome to apply.
