The Service Lead for the Norfolk and Waveney Post-COVID Assessment Service provides strategic, operational, and clinical leadership for a multidisciplinary team delivering specialist assessment and intervention for patients experiencing Post-COVID Syndrome (Long Covid). Responsible for service development, performance, governance, workforce management, and budget oversight, the post holder works across organisational boundaries to ensure high-quality, patient-centred care and effective resource utilisation.

The role leads the implementation of national and local Long Covid strategies, develops clinical pathways and policies, supports complex patient assessment and management, and fosters strong partnerships with health, social care, and voluntary sector organisations. As a senior clinical leader, the post holder drives continuous service improvement, promotes best practice, supports staff development, and ensures equitable access to care for communities across Norfolk and Waveney.

### Main duties of the job

- To be responsible for the development of the Post Covid Service across Norfolk and Waveney. To provide professional leadership for the Post Covid Multidisciplinary Team, supporting patient flow and effective resource utilisation within the service and providing a point of liaison between NCH&C and partner organisations.
- To be a senior clinical resource Lead on the implementation and development of the Post-COVID Assessment and Intervention Service.
- To identify future opportunities to drive subsequent phases of the Post-COVID Assessment Service in line with NHS England National Strategy and Norfolk and Waveney CCG/ICB.

### Detailed job description and main responsibilities

- To be involved and lead in the delivery of high standards of health care to any patient registered with a Norfolk or Waveney GP, by coordinating and delivering assessments, planning and implementing and evaluating health care for complex patients with Post Covid Syndrome/Long Covid.
- To lead on developing practice, procedures / systems for the team and provide clinical support within own area of expertise including clinical assessment delivery for highly complex patients or when required during times of high pressure within the service.
- To develop and sustain working relationships with system partners delivering the Post-COVID Service processes and patient focussed planning. (eg. CCG/ICB/NSFT/Active Norfolk.
