Staffordshire and Shropshire Health Informatics Service (S&SHIS) is a shared service hosted by Midlands Partnership University NHS Foundation Trust, providing digital and IT services to NHS organisations across Staffordshire and Shropshire.

We are seeking a motivated and customer-focused individual to join our Service Delivery Team based at Lawton House, Trentham. As a Service Delivery Specialised Services Administrator, you will support healthcare services through the administration of IT procurement and NHS Registration Authority (RA) services.

You will coordinate the procurement of IT hardware, software, telecoms services and related equipment, working with suppliers, customers and internal teams to ensure services are delivered efficiently and in line with organisational processes. You will also administer NHS Smartcard services, supporting user access to systems whilst ensuring compliance with national RA policies and information governance requirements.

Acting as a key point of contact for customers and colleagues, you will provide advice, guidance and administrative support, maintain accurate records and support service improvements.

By ensuring staff have timely access to equipment, systems and services, you will help support the delivery of safe and effective patient care across the local health economy.

### Main duties of the job

- Manage the end-to-end procurement of IT hardware, software, telecoms services and related equipment for customer organisations and internal teams.
- Liaise with suppliers to obtain quotations, place orders, track deliveries and ensure compliance with procurement processes.
- Maintain accurate records relating to orders, budgets, billing, assets and configuration information.
- Administer NHS Registration Authority (RA) services, including the issue, maintenance and support of NHS Smartcards.
- Process access requests for new starters, leavers and staff role changes, ensuring compliance with national and local policies.
- Provide advice and support to users on Smartcard services, access management and self-service tools.
- Support the deployment and lifecycle management of IT equipment, ensuring assets are accurately recorded and tracked.
- Act as a key point of contact for customers, suppliers and stakeholders, delivering a professional and customer-focused service.
- Assist with service improvement activities, testing, documentation and the implementation of new processes and systems.
- Help ensure NHS staff have access to the technology and systems they need to deliver safe and effective patient care.

## Person Specification

### Experience

**Essential**

- Experience in IT procurement, telecoms, or administrative roles within the NHS or similar environment.
- Experience of working in an office/administrative setting.
- Experience in NHS clinical systems and/or IT administration.
- Experience of supplier and third-party account management.

**Desirable**

- Experience working in a Registration Authority capacity.
- Experience working in an IM&T environment.
- Working knowledge of NHS recruitment processes.

### Qualifications & Training

- NVQ Level 3 or equivalent in Business Administration.

- Advanced computer literacy in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint).
- RSA Level 2 Word Processing or equivalent.

**Desirable**

- ITIL Foundation or equivalent Service Management qualification.
- Project management qualification or experience (e.g., PRINCE2).

- Ability to communicate effectively with staff at all levels, both clinical and non-clinical.
- Ability to explain technical issues to non-technical users.
