## Job Content

### Job overview

As part of our expanding Mental Health Support Teams (MHSTs), this is an exciting opportunity to join our School Based Needs teams as a Senior Wellbeing practitioner (SWP). The SWP role is a Senior role within the low intensity CBT workforce, enabling practitioners to build on their CBT clinical skills and develop supervision skills. SWPs will join established teams and work within the wider MHST framework, delivering evidence-based 1-1 and group interventions for children, young people and their parents/carers, advice and consultation to schools, and whole school approaches to mental health, as well as supporting trainees and newly qualified Children's Wellbeing Practioners/Education Mental Health Practitioners (CWPs/EMHPs) through joint working, clinical skills groups, and supervision.

The successful candidates will have a foundation training and be accredited as an EMHP or CWP, and have two year’s post qualification experience in January 2027. Candidates are required to complete the Postgraduate Diploma Senior Wellbeing Practice (SWP) course as part of the role. The course will be offered at The University of Southampton, starting in January 2027.

Surrey MHSTs are delivered in borough based teams, and we have vacancies in various teams across Surrey (exact locations TBC) as well as vacancies in our North East Hampshire team, based in Aldershot Centre for Health. Candidates will be asked for their preference of location if successful at interview.

### Main duties of the job

This is a permanent role within an MHST service. The post comes with a mandatory 2 year parallel Senior Wellbeing Practitioner (SWP) advance clinical skills and supervisor training program at the University of Southampton, and successful completion of this is a requirement for this role.

The EMHP supervision course is designed to provide the EMHP supervisor with comprehensive training in the knowledge, skills and competencies required to deliver effective clinical supervision as part of the MHST initiative.
