### Main duties of the job

- Assist in developing, implementing and evaluating a patient care plan alongside the qualified staff
- Assist in identifying service users’ strengths and needs in order to plan and support their recovery
- Assist staff in evaluating the effectiveness of therapy with service users, carers and the multi-disciplinary team
- Supply all clinical information within the required timescales to keep the teams data on the patient’s electronic records up to date
- Support patients with individual needs and choices.

- Good standard of education

- Training or education in Counselling/psychology and/or Qualification related to Mental health issues

- Ability to communicate with all professionals and levels in a confident and effective manner
- Good time management and ability to self-manage work adhering to lone working protocols

- Understanding of confidentiality and data protection.

### Further Training or Job Related Aptitude and Skills

**Essential**

- Understanding of and ability to engage in identifying and managing safeguarding risks
- Understanding of the legal and social policy issues influencing the care group
- Able to work under limited supervision, identify needs and plan to meet them
- To be able contribute to the audit process / service developememt
