Acute Rehabilitation Trauma unit Do you have an interest in caring for patients who have sustained traumatic and life changing injuries. Would you like to be involved in their care and rehabilitation. Could you work alongside an innovative multidisciplinary team?

### Main duties of the job

We have a very exciting opportunity for a Band 6 Senior Staff Nurse to join our team. We can offer you a warm welcome to our Acute Trauma Rehabilitation Unit. The successful applicant will have good communication skills and should have at least 2 years experience of working in an acute hospital setting ideally within a trauma and orthopaedics or specialised rehabilitation. The applicant should also have at least 2 years experience looking after level one patients. We are looking for a committed team player who has high standards and is passionate about improving the patient experience.

You must have appropriate UK professional registration.

This post is subject to the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act 1974 (Exceptions) Order 1975 (Amendment) (England and Wales) Order 2020 and it will be necessary for a submission for Disclosure to be made to the Disclosure and Barring Service.

### Experience

**Essential**

- minimum 2 years post registration experience
- Has experience in an acute hospital setting
- Experience in level one care

**Desirable**

- Trauma & Orthopaedic experience
- Experience in taking charge of the ward

### Qualifications

**Essential**

- Registered Nurse on NMC Register
- Recognised qualification in teaching and assessing study

**Desirable**

- Mentorship or equivalent
