The Stroke Ward at Dr Grays Hospital, is an 8-bedded Integrated Unit providing specialist care for patients requiring acute stroke management and ongoing rehabilitation, within a busy and rewarding clinical environment.

We are looking to employ enthusiastic and motivated Senior Staff Nurses who will provide visible and consistent senior support to the ward.

The successful candidates will demonstrate effective clinical leadership and be able to deputise in the absence of the Senior Charge Nurse, providing clinical and operational leadership, coordinating patient flow, managing risk and ensuring safe and effective use of available resources.

The successful candidates will have a responsibility for teaching, supervising and assessing student nurses, nursing support workers and other members of the nursing team. They will plan and prioritise workload, delegate appropriately and contribute to the development of staff and the delivery of high-quality person-centred care.

Applicants must have recent and relevant experience at Band 5 level, with an element of stroke care and have a genuine interest in developing stroke services in Moray.

The ward operates 12-hour shifts. This post will primarily involve day shift working, including weekends; however, occasional night duty may be required to meet service needs.

Key Worker Housing Support

Moray Council are offering temporary accommodation for key workers moving to Moray to support recruitment in the public sector, including NHS roles. This opportunity is designed to help individuals who are unable to secure housing locally while starting their new job.

Applicants must be filling a public sector role such as NHS healthcare professionals eg Consultants, Nurses, Physiotherapists where local skills shortages exist.

You must be moving to Moray from outside the area and must be willing to accept a Short Scottish Secure Tenancy (SSST), which is a temporary housing arrangement.
